Chris Miuccio
Pastoral Intern

I am the youngest of 3 children born to Tony and Mary Miuccio. I was raised Catholic but became an atheist/agnostic from age 15-25 mainly due to my limited knowledge of the Bible and my magnitude of knowledge from the songs of songwriters of the 60's and 70's.( specifically Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon solo, Pete Townshend, Ray Davies, Brian Wilson, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, Phil Ochs, and many others!) . I came very close to death at the age of 16 and got more serious about life in general (as a near death experience can do to a person) and eventually accepted the Lord in Brooklyn New York in 1987. I have had an inner peace since that moment that has only gotten stronger.

I have a 7 year old daughter (Amanda) who rocks my world and makes life even more worth living! I am also a songwriter, singer, drummer, guitarist and have co-written and co- produced 3 CD's as a part of the Christian band "Transient Camp".  I am currently enrolled at Biola University in the B.O.L.D. program with the goal of becoming a full time Pastor.

Place born & raised: Earth / Northridge, California

Favorite scripture: Ephesians 2:8-9 was my favorite when I was a new Christian but now it is Philippians 2:3-16

Hobby or Leisure Activity: Songwriting, playing guitar, singing, listening to music

Favorite TV show or movie: Grey's Anatomy is my current favorite TV show but my all time favorite is a tie between Monty Python's Flying Circus and The Twilight Zone. My favorite dramatic movie is a tie between "Who's Life Is It Anyway?" starring Richard Dreyfus and "To Kill A Mockingbird" starring Gregory Peck. For comedies it would be a tie between "Pleasantville" and "Office Space"

Person I admire: Any human being that is humble and honest, which eliminates most of us....so let me clarify by saying that anyone who is working at humility and honesty is admirable to me.

Favorite author: James, the half brother of Jesus. Why? He tells it like it should be told in only 5 chapters!

Favorite food or restaurant: Killer Shrimp on Colfax near Ventura Blvd.

Book you’d recommend: The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. It's clever and thought provoking, even after a second, third or fourth reading! If you can find the "Books on tape" as read by John Cleese (from Monty Python) , get it!

Favorite vacation destination: Of all the places I've been fortunate enough to visit, I'd go with Paris in the summertime.

If I could meet one famous person it would be: Paul The Apostle, however if being alive on the planet is a requirement I would like to meet George Carlin so I could share a vision of Jesus and specifically Christianity that he seems to not be able to see.
