Interim Pastor on board

The board of elders recently submitted a proposal to Dave Crouse asking him to fill-in as interim pastor while CCH forms a search committee and looks for a new senior pastor.

Dave has accepted the CCH proposal and has agreed to help us out. He has just finished serving 18 months as an interim pastor at a church in Tustin. And the elders see it as God’s perfect timing that he is available to help CCH out at this time.

He will be in the CCH office on Wednesdays available for counseling and appointments during that day. He will lead the Wednesday night Bible Study at 7:00 beginning June 14 and will preach three of the four Sunday messages each month.

The search committee will be formed very shortly and will begin getting the word out to our Christian Church community that we are seeking a new senior pastor. With Dave Crouse serving as interim pastor, we will be able to take the process slower and be diligent about our search.

Other news is that Amber George will be taking over as Children’s Director in July since Pat Henkel is retiring. Pat has done an admiral job as Director for the past three and half years. She is ready to retire and spend more time in her Big Bear get away. Amber is looking forward to leading the ministry with the same love and affection for the children that Pat has.

Ryan Reed has begun serving as our new youth pastor and has lots of great plans laid out for the upcoming weeks. The JH and HS kids will be busy learning while having fun!
