As everyone knows by now, I’m going to be stepping down at the end of June. I’m very pleased and happy that Amber George will be moving into my position. Amber and I have been working toward this for the last year. I’m so thankful for everyone’s help and support throughout these past few years. I will be around CCH a great deal doing other things, and I will always be there to help Amber and Ryan wherever I can. This is my church family and I plan to stick around! I love you all very much.

Soldiers gift boxes
One week left to get items in for the soldiers. The children’s department changed their plans and will send our box of goodies directly to Scott Olson so that he may distribute the notes of encouragement and the snacks to people in his own unit. So check the wish list below and please bring things in by June 11.

Thank you to Steve Lewis for leading the group down to the church last Sunday. He had donations of many, many sandwiches and lot of bags of clothing. Going down with Steve were Marcia Hovious and her grandson, Rob, Loretta Hicks, and Mike McDonald from the Westlake Church. Thank you to Berniece Bennett, MaryAnn Cossentine, the Morefields and Lynn Sweeney for helping with the purchasing and preparing of all those sandwiches!
If anyone wishes to lead the group down in June, please let us know in the office. You actually could volunteer for one month at a time. We do all the advertising through the office. You would only need to coordinate at 2:00 p.m. with those who plan to go on the day you agree to lead the group down. Our next trip down will be Sunday, June 25. Please let Lori know in the office if you can be the lead in June.

Greetings! For those of you I haven’t met yet, my name is Ryan Reed and I’m the new Youth Pastor here at CCH. I’m excited to get to know all of you and go on this faith journey together. It’s an exciting time to be involved at CCH with so many opportunities arising and I’m encouraged to see such a healthy bunch of students here that will make this ministry a success. God is going to do great things with your youth and I’m glad that he has provided me the opportunity to be a part of it. We have some exciting things planned for this summer that will allow us to encounter God on so many different levels and maybe let us have some fun along the way.
