From the Pastor
By Dave Crouse
Dear CCH family,
Thank you for you involvement in the ministry here at CCH. I’m so glad that you are a part of this church family. As we head into the fall season I want to encourage you to not only “attend” church but also to “participate” in this church family. There are many people who are Christians yet are not a part of a local church family.
What's the difference between being a Christian and being a member of a church family? The difference is the word "commitment". I become a Christian by committing my life to Christ. I become a member of a church by committing myself to other Christians. I say, "That's going to be my church home where I'm going to give and be given to, where I'm going to serve and be served, where I'll love and be loved."
I want to encourage you therefore to grow in your faith by not just “attending’ but “committing” yourself to the work and purpose of the CCH ministry. The degree of effectiveness for our church will be in direct proportion to the number of people involved in its ministry.
My prayer is that as you see and hear about the various events, programs, and activities this fall you’ll make every effort to get involved and participate. Choose a ministry and help with it. Attend an event and bring a friend. Find a group and join it.
Remember that each of you are important to the success and ministry of this church and without you we are not as strong or effective. That’s what Paul meant when he wrote in 1 Corinthians 12:12, 27… The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body…now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
May God continue to bless you as you live for Him and shine the light of Jesus Christ for all others to see!
Adult Studies
Wednesday Adult Bible Study
Please join us for a small group Bible study on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Our goal is to grow together as Christians growing stronger in our relationship with God and with each other. We’ll be studying the book of Ephesians and will be using the “Lifechange” series small group book which is an excellent resource to help us study this book.
Why should you attend? You should attend because the letter to the Ephesians is one of the richest letters in the New Testament. The first half will help you to get to know God better and the second half will help you in your daily Christian walk. I know God will bless you as you study His word and as you build relationships with other Christians! All are welcome! (There is a program for children and youth at the same time!)
