Kids Korner
by Amber George
We are into October and we have got A LOT of exciting things coming up. We are starting our new lesson series on Men of the Old Testament, which we will cover through November.
We have our Wednesday Night Pathfinders group meeting at 5:30-7:00 p.m. every week. But, on October 11th we have a special event planned. We will be going to the Corn Maze at Pierce College. We'll meet at church at 5;00 p.m. and we'll be returning to CCH at 7:30 p.m. I need one adult volunteer to drive to and from the event. Let me know if you would like to join us.
And, last but not least.....
THE 4TH ANNUAL HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
on October 28 from 5-7 p.m. This is going to be a great event not just for kids, but also for adults. We have a lot of new booths, the haunted house, costume contest, BBQ plus much more. And.... it's all FREE. So start inviting your friends and don't forget your costumes.
But, we can't do this carnival without YOU. We still need volunteers and organizers. We will have a meeting right after church on Sunday the 15th for all volunteers. Please plan on being there. And, we are starting a pumpkin collection. We would like as many pumpkins as we can get for the carnival.
If you have any questions see me. Thank you everyone for signing up. It will be a great night. - Amber

Youth News
by Ryan Reed
Hey Everyone,
I hope that your fall months are going well and flying by-seems like just yesterday we were in Summer. Well, the fall has come and brought with it some great and exciting things in the youth ministry.
The youth room is finally done, be sure to thank Steve Lewis for all his hard work. There have also been some changes made to help improve things here at CCH.
On Sunday mornings there will be no more Sunday school for Jr. High or High School. This is temporary, but please use this to build family time within the service. I encourage the parents of our youth to sit with their kids and participate in the services together.
Along with that we have some special events coming up. Due to some scheduling conflicts we are no longer going to be attending Knott's Scary Farm, however we are going to be seeing Chris Tomlin in concert at the Gibson Amphi-
theater at Universal City Walk on October 22. Tickets are 30 dollars, be sure to contact me if you want to go we have a limited number of tickets so first come first serve.
Be looking out for more announcements about events and also be ready for Youth Sunday on October 29th. It will be a great time to see how God has gifted our youth.
Blessings, Ryan |
