Encouraging Words From pastor dave
Hello Church !!
I don’t want to scare anyone…but…Easter Sunday is a little over a month away! Time is zooming by!! As your pastor let me encourage you to use this time of the year to invite others to church! As a church we have a great need to “RESTORE OUR PASSION AND URGENCY TO REACH OUT TO OTHERS.” Look at this interesting story from the book of John,
Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?" They came out of the town and made their way toward him.
John 4:28-30
This is the well known story of the woman who meets Jesus at the well. After meeting Jesus the woman ran into town to tell others about her encounter. She was so enthusiastic about her encounter with Jesus she even forgot the jar she took to fill with water!
To meet Jesus was life-changing ! Can you remember when you came to know Christ? The excitement, the freedom, the joy, the happiness? We need to have others feel this also!
Let’s rekindle the urgency of reaching out to our unchurched friends.
So here’s the challenge : to have everyone in the church invite at least three people to church on Easter Sunday! Now, I know they may not all accept the invitation, but what if only one person does? What if everyone in the church brought one person with them on Easter to hear the message of the resurrection? What a fantastic day that would be! So I will be praying that the Holy Spirit would impress upon our hearts to be bold and invite others to church!

Marjorie Kroes-Our deepest sorrow and sympathy to the Pattons and Marjorie's extended family on her passing after her surgery in February. She is missed!
Lela's dad, Ray S. also passed away in February. Keep the family in your prayers.
Dennis M. has a follow-up appt. at UCLA on March 5th.
Fran F.-needs sinus and knee surgery, but her health needs to improve first. It's been a long battle, please keep Fran in your prayers!
Patti W.-received a great report from the oncologist. We pray for her continued recovery!
Lori H. (Patti W 's friend) recurrence of her cancer, pray for full recovery.
Loretta H.-prayer for ongoing knee pain, awaiting surgery.
John C.-pray for a quicker recovery from his heart surgery. It has been a slow process for him.

Did you realize we have a library at CCH? There are many, many books, VHS tapes for children and adults, magazines and reference books. The library is on the honor system and you may borrow a book or other item any time! If there is a card inside the jacket, please fill it out and leave it on the shelf with the instruction file.

You can go to either the “Groups” page or the “Contact” page and open the 2 pages and print them out. Then please bring them back to church and leave them on Lori’s desk. This is information for all attenders — not just “members”. We’d like to know more about you, and we’d like to be able to say Happy Birthday when the day comes. Please take time to fill out a form.
