Church in the Park
We had around 120 people at the park and a great time!! So many to thank!: to those who showed up on Friday and Saturday to load equipment; came early Sunday to setup, stayed late to clean up; made chili; washed table cloths; played an instrument; sang; did sound; taught; sat at the info table; made communion; placed ads in the paper and on tv; picked up and delivered banners; folded bulletins; cooked; and came!! It was a great day—we’ll have a slide show in the service July 15th.
Just a couple of special thanks to Steve and Will for helping us out!

Upcoming events and ministry opportunities this summer...
Question and Answer Night —tentatively scheduled for Sunday, July 29th . We’d have dinner together first (5:00), then have a guest speaker who would talk for a while and allow questions afterward.
The kids will be at Knott’s Soak City that day. So this would be an adult event.
Beach Day — Sunday, August 5th . The plan is to bring your lunch and meet at a local beach to enjoy the afternoon together after church. We’ll have water bottles to hand out to people around us on the beach as a community service project.
Angel Café —lunch after church, Sunday, August 12th. If you’ve never joined us, this is a great time of fun and fellowship at a nice Italian restaurant nearby. Why not plan to be there..
Community Car Wash — Saturday, August 18th in the morning from 9:00 to 12:00. It was fun and fulfilling last summer to wash cars for the community with no expectations or fees. They were truly grateful. Please plan to be here for part or all of this outreach event. There are lots of things you can do.
Fall Kickoff —planned for Sunday, September 16th
Prayer Day — tentatively planned for Saturday, September 22.
The CCH Staff has a fall planning day scheduled for Wednesday, July 25th . This is an all-day event where evening groups and classes will not be held. Feel free to contact the staff if you have an idea you would like to have discussed for an outreach or church event.
 Vacation thoughts...
Don’t take a vacation from God. Why not visit a church where you are staying?
Don’t forget that the church’s expenses continue on throughout the summer.
Let us know where and when you are going so we can uphold you in prayer.
Pastor Dave’s Wednesday group, Randy’s Sunday study and the youth group are continuing to meet during the summer. Check for any calendar events or changes.
The kids will have some great summer events throughout the summer. Check the Kids Korner in this paper for dates.
There are many fun things planned here at CCH this summer… hope you will be there!
