The dinner will be catered in by Chuy’s. We’ll have lots of good eats.

The total for the event is $10 (kids under 5 are free) and tickets are a must—we need to get a good count for the food order. Please plan to be here —and invite your friends!!! Tickets available at church.

Nick Arnette is known for his clean and clever comedy. He has worked with the top comedians in the business. He regularly performs at major church outreach events, Christian comedy concerts, banquets, retreats, seminars and fund raisers, as well as the top comedy clubs, Fortune 500 companies, numerous associations throughout the United States and Canada.

His comic style is light-hearted and friendly, and appeals to young and old alike. You might even have caught his act on the Arts and Entertainment Network or Comedy Central.

Encouraging Words

by Pastor Dave

Hello CCH family!

Can you believe that summer is over and the fall is here! It’s amazing how fast the year goes!

We’re all set for our fall kickoff this year and we hope you’ll join us as we “GO M.A.D.” this year!! That’s right, our focus from now until next summer is to “Go Make a Difference” or “GO M.A.D.” . We’ll be seeking out various opportunities for the CCH family to go out and make a difference in our community.

Our staff and Elder board is responding to the question, “If our church were to close its doors tomorrow would anyone in the community even notice?” We want the answer to that question to be a resounding “yes”!! Marion Patillo, Executive Director of an outreach ministry in Dallas says, “Most churches are about ‘serve us’ rather than ‘service’!”

Our goal at CCH is to have a healthy balance of meeting the needs of our congregation as well as meeting the needs out in our community. It all starts with our Fall Kickoff worship service on Sunday morning, September 16 th at 10:00 a.m. along with our “Comedy Night” outreach event on Sunday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with special guest Nick Arnette. I hope you plan on attending both events along with the rest of our church family! So join the staff, the elders and the rest of the congregation as we begin to “GO M.A.D.”!!!

Love ya,
Pastor Dave

Prayer Day

Saturday, September 29 from 9:00—5:00.

Chris Miuccio is working on a new format for our Day of Prayer. There will be various prayer stations setup around the sanctuary — at each station will be kneeling pillows and chairs.

At each station you will find suggestions to pray for particular subjects; as well as places where you can write down a personal request and know that others throughout the day will be praying for your concerns as well.

This type of prayer day allows you to pray for as long or as short a time as you want to. You move around at your own pace — either as an individual or family.

Every hour there will be prayer captains in the building — they can pray with you or separately as you prefer.

Sign up September 16th for a time slot to come out and lift CCH and friends up in prayer.

Holiday Boutique

CCH will be having another holiday boutique on Saturday and Sunday, November 10 & 11th. Pat Henkel is signing up vendors at this time. She needs to know by October 12th if anyone wishes to have a table at the boutique. There are information flyers on the bulletin board in the hallway.

“The Mix”

Wednesday evenings at CCH will offer classes for children through adults from 7:00—8:30 p.m. We will be referring to the evening as “The Mix”. Watch for details and opportunities to sign up for upcoming classes.

 Are you creative?

If you’d like to let your creative juices flow and help energize our worship services with new innovative and creative ideas, please see Chris Miuccio. We are forming a ministry team to help plan the services in advance on a monthly basis. Please see Chris Miuccio to help.
