ATTENTION PARENTS

With school year and family vacations it is a challenge to set the dates to the events above, please email me, Brett, your vacation dates for the year (if available), so that I may plan around your vacations and make sure your student can go to events. Please do this ASAP or your student might miss out.

Please make sure that you are dropping your student off at CCH for “The Mix” on time, this would be at 7 p.m. With a worship team now, it is very hard to keep things in order when students are late —as well, new “activities” over time will be added to the youth program, and I don’t want any of the students to miss out.

Coming in November,

watch for details …

Santa Comes to Agoura —this annual food drive feeds over 150 local people with food donated by many different sources. They could use non-perishables, cans and grocery store scrip, more than 200 volunteers to help distribute the food on Saturday, December 1st at the Do It Center. We’ll be a collection drop-off.

Angel Tree Gifts — Adopt a child by purchasing gifts for under-privileged children in the area through Many Mansions family services. We usually ask for 25 names and wish lists.

Visit the seniors at Agoura Hills Senior Retreat — brighten up someone’s day. We’ll plan an event to spend an hour or two with the seniors.

All-Church Thanksgiving Dinner —our annual dinner where you bring the food and we all enjoy a great home-cooked Thanksgiving dinner!! Sunday, Nov. 18th.

October is finally here and so is the 5th Annual Halloween Carnival! And, be prepared to have some fun and invite friends. For more information go to www.cchagoura.com/halloween.

The children’s ministry has started their last fundraiser of the year… pumpkin coin banks. This fundraiser will benefit the 5 th annual Halloween Carnival. The coin banks are available in the lobby for everyone to take home until the end of October. Please collect any loose change you can spare to put into the coin banks over the next month.

Speaking of the Halloween Carnival, we will be having our next Carnival Planning Meeting on Sunday, October 7th following church service. The last Planning Meeting will take place Sunday, October 21st. If you are signed up, or would like to volunteer, please be at both of these meetings to get very important information regarding the carnival.

And, On Wednesday, October 17th and 24th the kids will be taking “The Mix” to the community with the youth group. Everyone will go to the Ralph’s and Vons shopping centers to hand out Halloween treats to the local businesses to show our appreciation as well as pass out fliers to promote our Halloween Carnival. The kids will be out from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Then, on Wednesday, October 31st the children’s mid-week study will be cancelled for Halloween.

Also, through the month of October I will be collecting pumpkins and candy from the congregation for the carnival. Please bring in any donations before the Halloween Carnival. If you bring your pumpkin back after the carnival, please write your name on the bottom.

The new Sunday School curriculum has been great. The K-3 rd have been learning about the ministry of Jesus while the 4 th-5 th grade have started their study of Napoleon Dynamite. Everyone seems to really enjoy the new lessons, which we will continue until Mid-December.

Happy Halloween and… Let’s Go M.A.D.!!!
