CCH Beautification
Need Community Service hours? Wes Patton will be working on the first half of his Eagle Scout project on December 29 th from 9 am until they are done, which should be about 3 or 4 pm. He will be landscaping the front the church. In Part 1 of the project, we are planning on installing a decorative wall, removing some of the existing plants, installing borders, and painting the pedestal sign. Part II will take place on March 15 th and will involve planting all of the new landscaping (ivy killer will be applied on December 29 th after the scouts are done). Please bring shovels and picks to both days of this project. Please support all of our Troop’s scouts who are going for the highest rank in Scouting. Sign-ups will be in the lobby soon.
 Invitation to the Village Voices Chorale presentation of 'Sing in the Holidays'
Anne and John Cossentine will be singing in this professional group concert which consists of 15-20 songs about the holidays. They invite you to share the fun as they sing in English, Yiddish, Spanish, and Latin! It will be great entertainment! The concert is being held on Friday, December 7th at 8:00pm and Saturday, December 8th at 2:30pm. Tickets are $18.00 and all proceeds go towards local elementary school music programs and college vocal students. The event will be held at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza in the Scherr Forum Theatre. Festival of Joy Christmas Celebration
Angeles Crest Christian Camp’s senior program offers this wonderful event on Thursday, December 6th from 10:15 to 2:15 p.m. at the Holiday Inn at 7000 Beach Blvd., in Buena Park. Special music is by Rex Wolins (who was our pastor not too long ago). A traditional turkey dinner will be served. The suggested donation is $25.
