Work Day—help needed!

We need everyone to set aside some time on Saturday, March 15th to help out at the church.

Wes Patton’s Eagle Scout project will continue with planting the front hill.
And Spring Cleaning at the church will take place at the same time. We will have lots of inside projects that will need attention!

So please set aside some time to work at our house—the Lord’s House from 9:00 until around noon.

Volunteer Youth Ministry Team
We are looking for volunteers to form a team to help with our youth group. For example: driving to events; help plan events; substitute teach on occasion.

If you are interested in helping out from time to time, please attend the upcoming meetings. Initially we will meet this coming Sunday, March 2 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., with more meetings to be scheduled very soon.

Let Chris or Amber know if you want to help out.

Congratulations to Brett Ryan who was hired just this week by Crossroads Church in Corona. We lift you up in prayer for your new venture in the ministry. We see how God provides!

Kids Korner

by Amber George

March Madness is here. And, Easter is here early too! There is a lot happening this month and there is sure to be plenty of madness.

There are lots of fantastic Sunday services coming up, some of which the kids will be a part of. On Sunday, March 9th the Pathfinders will stay in service to see the Christ in the Passover presentation by Jews for Jesus. Preschool class will remain the same. I think this will a very important service for the kids to experience, so I hope all can make it.

On Sunday the 16th, our Palm Sunday service will take place with a special choir performance that is sure to be entertaining. And, then on Easter Sunday the 23rd, the kids will be dismissed early from service to participate in our annual Easter celebration, which includes snacks, crafts, a movie, Easter baskets, a lesson about the Resurrection and, of course, an Easter Egg Hunt.

Attention preschool parents and teachers…. A small change is being made. From here on out the preschool children will join their parents in the church service during worship and will be dismissed when the other children and youth are released to their Sunday school classes. Preschool teachers will also be able to stay in the service until children are dismissed.

The children are continuing their lessons about Jesus’ life and ministry and will be starting a new quarter at the end of the month focusing on “Mighty Miracles”. “Children will follow Jesus as He reaches the pinnacle of His ministry. Kids will respond in awe to Christ's miraculous love for those in need. They'll reach out as He did to change the hearts and habits of People” (Discipleland Curriculum summary). Parents, watch for the worksheets that your kids bring home and help them complete those throughout the week.

And lastly, Wednesday nights are changing. I will be helping out with the youth group on Wednesday nights and the Children’s Ministry will have some new things heading their way. Details are being worked out right now, so keep your eyes open for new info soon.

Happy Easter everyone and have a fun and safe Spring Break!

Thank you to MaryAnn and Anne C. for hosting the Women’s Lunch last Saturday. There were 15 ladies present and wonderful food. We enjoyed hearing from Michele Reithmayr of the Women’s Resource Center and have some ways to help out there if you want ideas.

From Scott O. in Iraq:
Dear CCH Family: God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ. I wanted to thank you for your kind and generous "care packages" you sent me recently. I shared them with my platoon and we all enjoyed them. I also appreciate and am mindful of your prayers for me and all the solders over here in Iraq. I have one more month and I will be coming home. You have made my stay nicer and I appreciate each of you. Thank you again!
