• NEW START TIME Beginning in April

We will begin our service on Sunday, April 6th at 9:30 a.m. Sunday School for the adults will begin at 8:30 a.m. Please mark your calendars!! We will continue to have our Sunday services at this time until further notice in order to be good neighbors to the church that meets after us on Sundays. They wanted to start a little earlier. Thank you for your understanding.

• Book of Ruth —Dramatization

We hope you’ll be here on Sunday, May 4th at 9:30 a.m. (and invite a few friends) for an incredible one-woman drama of the book of Ruth. “Karen Wescott presents this account as a storyteller, stepping into each role and giving a rich performance of the humor, frailties and strengths of these Old Testament characters.” This is great for the entire family!

Men's Retreat:

Be challenged in leadership, service, mission, personal study and life! At Angeles Crest Christian Camp, April 25-27th! Ron Galleher is the guest speaker. The cost is $99 per person. All sign ups are needed by April 15th. Checks to cover the weekend cost are needed then as well.

Women’s Tea at the Huntington Gardens

Saturday, April 26th (9:30 leaving CCH, returning around 2:45).

Sign up for this incredible day! The gardens are gorgeous and the tea is wonderful and is buffet style. There will be ample time to roam the gardens. The cost is $20 ($15 for seniors) to enter the Garden and $32 (includes tax and tip) for the Tea. The Huntington is in the Pasadena area, San Marino and is quite famous for the beauty of their gardens and the wonderful tea room. Please contact Lori George — seating at the reserved table is limited.

Garage Sale at CCH

April 19th -- Save the date and the “gently used” items to sell. NO storage at CCH please. Proceeds to the Wellness Center in WLV in honor of Berniece Bennett—who was also one of their founders.

We’ll need help pricing the items on Wednesday evening. Bring a dinner and please help out! 6:00—8:00. We’ll also need people here to sell the items on Saturday. Please set some time aside to be here between 7:00 and 11:00 a.m. THIS IS FOR A GREAT CAUSE!!

On that same Saturday we’ll have some work-day jobs people can do inside the building. PLEASE SIGN UP HELP is NEEDED!!!

AT HOME Prayer Day

On Saturday, April 12th we are asking everyone to pray at home ! There will be an insert for the bulletin which will have prayer suggestions and requests for you to consider.

Please mark your calendars and set aside at least 30 minutes to lift CCH and the other needs up to the Lord in prayer.

This could be a great family prayer time as well.

Pins and Needles

Congratulations CCH ladies! We made 23 items to give the Women’s Resource Center. You did a great job… and some were the first thing the ladies and girls have ever made!

Our next project is caps for chemo patients! We will meet on Thursday, April 17th (note date change) at 7:00 p.m. Anyone who wishes to help make items is welcome!! We love teaching, helping, and encouraging one another!! (Note: suggestion for caps: make some out of cotton yarn for the heat of the summer!)

Care boxes for Single Mom’s

Once again we will put together some care boxes for the single mom support group in Thousand Oaks.

What we need are new toiletry and gift items that would fit inside a shoe box. This limits the size of the containers you can donate. Please remember to pick up some things at the store and bring them to CCH by May 4th (in time for Mother’s Day). Kathy Patton can answer your questions.

Community Partners Rewards for CCH

Thanks to you, we’re beginning to see rewards… Albertson’s alone sent us a check for $122 for the first quarter. Thank you to everyone who signed up! If you haven’t signed up to help CCH out with your purchases, please pick up a packet in the lobby and sign up as soon as possible. Every day we delay, are fewer reward dollars which will be given to the church. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call!! (We are registered with e-scrip.com; Ralphs, Vons and Albertsons).
