From the Pastor
By Dave Crouse
Dear CCH Family,
I hope you are enjoying the great spring weather and your spring vacation. It’s hard to believe that Easter has already passed!
I want to remind you that on Sunday, April 6th we will begin our new worship service time at 9:30 a.m. Make sure you write a note to yourself, or you can even set your clocks back by 30 minutes on Saturday night if you need to, so you make it on time!
Also, this week I will be starting a four week sermon series on “Growing Healthy Families”. There is nothing more important to the health of a society, or even the church, than the health of the family. God designed mankind to function and flourish through the family unit. We’ll be looking at the following four topics regarding the family…
- March 30 The Purpose of a Family
- April 6 How to Have a
Satisfying Marriage
- April 13 Keys for Raising Kids
- April 20 When My Child Rebels
I hope you’ll make every effort to attend on Sunday mornings. I think there will be some solid, practical information that will help you in your desire to raise a strong family life; and that will also help you to minister to others who may be struggling in their family situation.
In addition, I’d like to say a special “thank you” to everyone who has raised their giving level in order to help us continue to do a great work in Agoura Hills – I praise God for all of you!!

Kids Korner
by Amber George
We are already into April and it seems like there are a lot of new things happening.
First, our new time for Sunday service is 9:30 a.m . All kids (Preschool- 5 th grade) will still join their parents in worship until they are dismissed after communion. And, starting this week the kids will start their new quarter of curriculum, “Mighty Miracles” as we continue to look at Jesus’ life and ministry. Parents, please ask your kids about their worksheets that they should be bringing home. Help them complete those during the week.
IMPORTANT: Pathfinders will be taking a break from Wednesday night Bible study until further notice. Amber is leading the Youth Group on Wednesday night, but will have Bible study packets available for the kids to work on at church by themselves or to take home to work on. Please see Amber for more information.
On Saturday, May 3rd the kids and youth will be going to Skateland in Northridge. We will meet at CCH at 11:30 a.m. and be back at the church at 3:30 p.m. The cost will be $5 per person. This includes lunch and rentals. Please let Amber know if you plan on coming. And, INVITE YOU FRIENDS.
Save the Dates: On July 7th - 11th the kids have the opportunity to attend Vacation Bible School (VBS) at St. Paul Lutheran Church. VBS will go from 9 a.m. – noon Monday through Friday. Registration forms and letters will be sent out very soon. Another important date to remember… Angeles Crest Christian Camp (ACCC) will be have a Junior Summer Camp weekend July 18th - 20th. If you would like to attend this camp please let Amber know. Registration and money will be due June 1st .
Thank yous
We are so thankful for Wes Patton who chose landscaping our church’s front hill as his Eagle Scout Project. His thank you to us is below:
I would like to express my true appreciation to everyone who supported me through their donations of time, supplies, and money to help me complete my Eagle Project. It was a big project that took two full days with 35+ volunteers and a lot of planning on my part. I worked extensively with the City of Agoura Hills Planning Department and the church Elders. The project came out beautifully and I am quite pleased with the results, as I hope you are. I’m taking a breath now, but am going to start working on my Eagle Notebook, and look forward to the day when I go before the Eagle Board of Review!
Thanks again. Wes Patton
