Hello Church Family!!

Well it’s hard to believe that’s it already the month of September! September brings our Fall Kickoff events and the start of some new happenings at CCH. This year we are going to focus a lot of our attention on the family – both the church family and our own personal families. Our theme for the next year is “Get F.I.T.” which stands for “Get Families Involved Together”. Our goal is to help strengthen and nurture our own personal families as well as help people to get connected to our church family. Our key verse for the year is Ephesians 2:19…“You are a member of God’s very own family and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.”

In order to “Get F.I.T.” we’ll be offering a few things…

  • Our Fall Kickoff Worship Service on Sunday morning September 14th @ 9:30 a.m. !! It will feature our special guests “The Pearce Family” – they are a gospel bluegrass group that has an incredible family ministry – you won’t want to miss it!!
  • Our Fall Kickoff Picnic at Oak Canyon Park in Oak Park after the worship service on September 14th. This will be a great time to gather your family, grab some lunch and bring it to the park. We’ll have some games and we’ll join others for a fun, casual afternoon at the park.
  • A new sermon series on “Nurturing Healthy Families”! It includes topics such as; the importance of the family, the building blocks for a healthy marriage, what to do when your child rebels, the five most important parenting skills and how to have hope if you’re a single parent!
  • New “Family Group” Home Bible Studies! These studies are designed to help you get connected to the church family and support you in your walk with God. Please join a group that works for your schedule and not only will you be blessed, you’ll be a blessing to others!!
  • “Family Game Night” is back! We’ll be transforming the church into a game center where families can come and spend time and play together. That happens on Saturday, October 4th. It will be a blast!!

Well that’s enough for now. As you can see, there are a lot of great things coming your way. I hope you’ll take advantage of every opportunity to get involved in the family life at CCH and that you’ll invite others to join you! Thanks for being a part of the CCH family…and remember…God loves you!!
